Job Description

At Atlas were providing services that enable communities to flourish and thrive. Were looking for an Ecologist 2 to join our Indianapolis IN team. Core Responsibilities

• Manage projects client relations and staff delegation.

• Lead and participate in wetland and waters delineations report writing and federal and state JD requests.

• Prepare permit applications for USACE state and local agencies.

• Coordinate with USFWS and state agencies on threatened and endangered species effects determinations.

• Conduct wetland and stream assessments categorizations and support restoration mitigation and native habitat projects.

• Support other disciplines as needed and travel for field and office work including occasional overnight and out-of-state travel.

Youll thrive here if you have

• Bachelors degree in a related environmental field required; MS preferred.

• 48 years of wetland delineation and waters permitting experience

• Valid drivers license clean record U.S. work authorization and drug screen.

• Ability to perform fieldwork in rough terrain and inclement weather carrying up to 30 lbs.

• Knowledge of USACE manuals Clean Water Act 404/401 and permitting processes.

• Wetland plant identification; experience with GPS ArcGIS and electronic field data collection.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Strong communication technical writing multitasking project/budget management teamwork and staff training skills.
