Registered Nurse Cardiac Cath Lab Travel Position

Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 410s Days
Pay: $2404/week (plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cardiac Catheterization Lab (Cath Lab) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Knoxville TN on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The ideal candidate has strong Cath Lab or critical care experience excellent technical and clinical skills and a commitment to delivering safe evidence-based patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for cardiac catheterization procedures ensuring safety and readiness before during and after interventions.
- Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures including angiograms angioplasty and stent placements.
- Monitor patients vital signs cardiac rhythms and responses to sedation or interventions.
- Administer prescribed medications IV therapies and contrast agents accurately and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with physicians cardiovascular technologists and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to provide coordinated care.
- Educate patients and families about procedures post-procedure care and recovery expectations.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments interventions and outcomes in the medical record.
- Adhere to infection control standards safety protocols and evidence-based practices in Cath Lab nursing.
Qualifications
- Current and valid RN license in Tennessee (or compact eligibility).
- Minimum 12 years of recent Cath Lab or critical care nursing experience in an acute care setting.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Strong critical thinking assessment and decision-making skills in high-acuity cardiovascular care.
- Excellent communication teamwork and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
- COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.
