Job Description:
We areseekinga dedicated and patient-focusedTelemetry Registered Nurse (RN)to join our team. This role involves monitoring patients cardiac rhythms providing direct patient care and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate willdemonstrateexcellent critical thinking and time management skills whilemaintaininga positive team-oriented attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring and medical-surgical interventions.
Monitor telemetry recognize and respond to arrhythmias and promptly communicate findings to the healthcare team.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed ensuring adherence to protocols and patient safety standards.
Assistwith procedures such asheart catheterizationsand support post-procedure care.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Educate patients and families on diagnoses treatments and discharge instructions.
Float to otherMed Surg Telemetry floorsas needed to support patient care needs.
Qualifications:
Must Have:
Med Surg Telemetry experience
Meditech experience
Preferred:
Strong time management skills
Strong critical thinking skills
Floating Areas:
All Med Surg Tele floors
Best Personality Fit:
Positive attitude friendly helpful
Education:Associates orBachelors Degree in Nursing
License:Active RN license in Louisiana
