Responsibilities
- Perform surgical procedures on pediatric patients
- Conduct pre-operative and post-operative evaluations
- Collaborate with pediatricians and other specialists
- Provide comprehensive patient care and support
- Document patient history and treatment plans accurately
- Participate in surgical rounds and case discussions
- Educate patients and families about surgical procedures
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in surgery
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Pediatric Surgery
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in a pediatric surgical setting is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
- Knowledge of current medical practices and technologies
Schedule: Friday-Sunday (24-hour call) 2 weekends per month
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
