Job Summary

Ocean freight Import/Export Clerk

Our client is a well established Freight specialist with offices Worldwide and is currently looking for an Import/Export Ocean freight Co-ordinator. The role will be working on FCL loads within its busy Essex office which is based centrally in Basildon and provides free onsite parking.

Duties will include:

Arranging FCL Sea shipments both Import & Export

Liaising with suppliers carriers and overseas offices

Operate within company general procedures and requirements

Liaising with overseas offices to arrange shipments

Generating invoices per the terms of shipment & costing of files correctly to maximise profitability

General day to day customer service and administration

Working on CNS CDS & Destin8 Excel & Word systems

Salary 28/32k depending on experience

Requirements

Experience required:

Experience of working within freight forwarding or shipping within either Imports or Export and ideally both although some training can be provided for candidates without both.

Transport/Port regulations

HM Customs regulations

To be successful for the role you will need to be a good Team player be able to work under pressure and have good communications skills both verbal and written.
