Job Summary

The Connectivity Engineer is responsible for verification activities as well as taking ownership of component development of one or several electrical components. Core responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead verification and validation activities for telematics and connectivity systems both on test rigs and in vehicle environments
  • Define write and maintain test cases and plan verification activities
  • Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for reported faults and defects
  • Own component development across all lifecycle stages from concept to release
  • Ensure compliance with technical quality and release standards at each development phase
  • Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guide and review component development
  • Actively contribute to an Agile development environment managing tasks through JIRA
  • Support product documentation version control and release processes
  • Communicate technical status risks and issues clearly to cross-functional teams

Required Qualifications

  • 8 years of experience in connectivity telematics or automotive electronics engineering
  • 5 years of experience in verification and validation (V&V) activities
  • Bachelors degree or higher in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related field
  • Hands-on experience with test planning test case design and execution
  • Solid problem-solving skills with proven experience in root cause analysis
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as JIRA
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3) and English for technical and business communication
