The Connectivity Engineer is responsible for verification activities as well as taking ownership of component development of one or several electrical components. Core responsibilities include:
Key Responsibilities
- Lead verification and validation activities for telematics and connectivity systems both on test rigs and in vehicle environments
- Define write and maintain test cases and plan verification activities
- Perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting for reported faults and defects
- Own component development across all lifecycle stages from concept to release
- Ensure compliance with technical quality and release standards at each development phase
- Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to guide and review component development
- Actively contribute to an Agile development environment managing tasks through JIRA
- Support product documentation version control and release processes
- Communicate technical status risks and issues clearly to cross-functional teams
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of experience in connectivity telematics or automotive electronics engineering
- 5 years of experience in verification and validation (V&V) activities
- Bachelors degree or higher in Electronics & Communication Engineering or a related field
- Hands-on experience with test planning test case design and execution
- Solid problem-solving skills with proven experience in root cause analysis
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools such as JIRA
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual proficiency in Japanese (JLPT N3) and English for technical and business communication
