Ancora provides home health and hospice care for patients in their homes and senior living communities and are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Medical Social Worker (MSW) who shares our desire to make healthcare better for everyone.

COMPENSATION: $85000 - $95000 per year DOE

STATUS: Full-Time W2 employee

SCHEDULE: M-F 8am to 5pm

LOCATION: Wasilla AK

Job Summary As a Medical Social Worker (MSW) at Ancora you will play a key role in helping us enrich the lives of the people we this role you will provide short-term individual counseling crisis intervention and assist with funeral planning issues and the transfer of responsibilities regarding fiscal legal and health care decisions. You will document all findings plans interventions and client progress in the clinical record assist patients/families in assessing financial resources address patient/family questions and issues identify family dynamics and communication patterns and evaluate the patient/family response to intervention(s) when referred to community agencies and satisfaction with the service(s) provided.

Desired Skills & Qualifications

Required Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited University.
Valid licensure in Alaska
Strong organizational communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently be self-directed and flexible.
High level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity of materials and information.
Effective verbal & written communication & time management skills
Valid Drivers License (clean record) & reliable transportation.
Proof of current auto insurance & registration
Valid State Fingerprint Clearance Card (we can help)
Current CPR Certification (we can help) & Negative TB Test (we can test)
