Job Summary
What we are looking for
SCS Engineers is looking for a Chemical or Process Engineer to help us expand our anaerobic digestion and industrial wastewater management practice. You will have an opportunity to contribute to our anaerobic digestion and waste-to-energy practice strategic direction help us pursue our growth goals and provide our customers with responsive high-quality customer service. Ideally you will be at the SCS MN office which is conveniently located in Oakdale MN; however we are open for possible hybrid/remote position for the ideal candidate.
How you can make an impact
- Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of engineering and scientific
- Prepares and reviews engineering calculations drawings reports and permit applications.
- Manage or assist in projects and personnel as necessary to meet both client and SCS expectations.
- Makes decisions independently on engineering or scientific problems and methods plans and coordinates work and represents the company at meetings and conferences.
- Field work in varied terrain and weather may be required including but not limited to surveys/data gathering construction quality assurance inspections etc.
- Office based tasks including but not limited to: designing treatment systems CAD drafting mathematical calculations report writing creating site plans and facility diagrams permit applications etc.
- Business development including but not limited to: proposal preparation meeting with clients and attending industry-related conferences/trade shows.
- Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and supervisory approval on proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree or higher in Environmental or Chemical Engineering or any other related engineering discipline is required.
- Minimum of 8 years of related process engineering or anaerobic digestion treatment system design experience required.
- Technical experience in the design of AD systems or other wastewater treatment systems piping and process controls as well as report preparation permit coordination and construction phase services is preferred.
- E.I.T. or P.E. license strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Microsoft Office and current engineering design software.
- Valid drivers license with a driving record in good standing required.
Pay Range
USD $85000.00 - USD $100000.00 /Yr.
