Registered Nurse (RN) PCU / Stepdown - Travel Position (with $7500 Completion Bonus)
Location:Grand Island NE
Job Type:Travel Contract
Duration:13 weeks
Shift:3x12 Nights
Pay:$2301.48/week(plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown team. This role is ideal for nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to providing high-quality care to patients transitioning from intensive care to a lower acuity setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for moderately to critically ill patients requiring close monitoring.
- Administer medications treatments and interventions as prescribed.
- Monitor and interpret vital signs cardiac rhythms and other diagnostic data.
- Operate specialized equipment such as cardiac monitors infusion pumps and oxygen delivery systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on recovery plans medications and discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN preferred).
- Licensure: Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Certifications: BLS and ACLS required; PCCN certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of acute care experience; PCU or Stepdown experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking communication and organizational skills.
