The Platforms Practice specializes in mission-critical intelligent platforms for the worlds most ambitious organizations. Using our product-driven AI-centric approach we empower organizations to build for the intelligent digital future. Software engineers are problem solvers. While most have deep expertise in specific areas of the technology stack (front end back end data security etc.) all are comfortable swimming across lanes. This is really important in delivering the product and platform outcomes that our customers expect.

In this role you will identify and define user/customer requirements focusing on developing user interfaces (UI) across various platforms such as mobile web and tablets. You will be responsible for creating software components and services that interact seamlessly with upstream and downstream components ensuring that business requirements are met through effective coding and programming.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Application Designer and Developer you will play a pivotal role in delivering innovative solutions. Your time will be spent on various responsibilities including:

Collaborating with clients to gather and analyze requirements ensuring that the final product meets their needs.
Designing and developing user interfaces that are not only functional but also enhance user experience.
Writing clean maintainable code and creating specifications that support business objectives.

Regular travel may be required to meet with clients providing you with the opportunity to engage directly with stakeholders.

To qualify for the role you must have

A Bachelors degree required (4-year degree).
Typically no less than 2 - 4 years relevant experience.
3-5 years of experience with Angular or similar frontend frameworks
Strong knowledge of JavaScript TypeScript Angular

Knowledge of PostgreSQL and Temporal
Knowledge of Generative AI and building Agents
Ability to design and implement robust APIs and microservices using Java Python FastAPI and OpenAPI
Integrate authentication and authorization mechanisms using Keycloak OAuth2 OIDC and Azure Active Directory (AAD)
Experience with Data Visualization tools like: D3 Highcharts Ember Charts
Experience using Commercial Dashboards (PowerBI Tableau Looker)
Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) / unit testing
Experience working on complex problems and in a complex codebase
Knowledge of frontend best practices around page performance

Ideally youll also have

A passion for delivering commercial software products and platforms to market

Be deeply technical and constantly in a state of learning
Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with a variety of audiences including developers clients customers partners and executives
Fearless in getting hands-on with technology and execution
Strong understanding of modern software engineering processes
Deep understanding and interest in cloud and distributed systems architectures
Comfortable with ambiguity with a drive for clarity
Experience leading and growing technical talent (for software engineering managers)
Experience in complex problem-solving and critical thinking.
Strong emotional agility and the ability to collaborate in hybrid environments.
A proactive approach to learning and adapting to new technologies.

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where youll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $102500 to $187900. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $122900 to $213400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education experience knowledge skills and addition our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage pension and 401(k) plans and a wide range of paid time off options.
