We are looking for a Business Demand Planner W/M:
The Business Demand Planner translates phased sales plans into robust regional demand plans ensuring strong alignment between commercial targets inventory strategy and operational execution. The role consolidates demand risks and opportunities and partners closely with Regional Category Merchandising to drive informed planning decisions.
By defining and implementing the stock strategy within their scope the Business Demand Planner ensures optimal inventory levels before and during the season. Through continuous monitoring of sales performance warehouse arrivals and markdown activity the role proactively adjusts forecasts and executes corrective actions to secure sales performance and achieve end-of-season inventory targets.
Main Activities:
1. Translate phased sales plans into regional phased demand plans within its scope
- Build regional B2B demand plan based on sales and plan and frame from Regional Business Merch (phased adjusted by size curves OTB management and market risks & opportunities) on article level (in close collaboration with Reg. Business Merch).
Build D2C demand plan consolidate and share with Reg. Business Merch for validation
- Review regional B2B demand plan monthly and reflect potential changes from Reg. Business Merch. Review D2C demand plan consolidate and share with Reg. Business Merch for validation
- Update regional B2B sales & demand plan bottom-up based on first order books & market insights from Reg. Business Merch. Review D2C demand plan consolidate and share with Reg. Business Merch for validation
- Review B2B demand plan monthly updating it with new market insights collected from Reg. Business Merch (e.g. order book D2C sell-through previous season). Review D2C demand plan consolidate and share with Reg. Business Merch for validation
2. Analyze business risks and opportunities to inform demand plan
- Analyze market insights (i.e. sell-in and account performance in B2B sell-through previous season for D2C) provided by Reg. Business Merch; capture business risks and opportunities via buffers in the demand plan (e.g. brand activation safety stock)
- Periodically analyse and communicate product performance for all channels (sales margins markdowns productivity)
- Check the warehouse inventory and reservations on a weekly basis identify any stock shortages or excess stock and reserve or release inventory accordingly
- Adjust the rolling demand plan (sales assumptions prices and markdowns)
3. Monitor the delivery plan in collaboration with category Merch
- Identify and communicate delivery priorities for the D2C & B2B
- Monitor deliveries against the dates required by the D2C & B2B and identify actions to be taken
4. Participate in the companys S&OE process and the resulting allocation decisions
Qualifications :
- Education: Masters degree in Supply Chain Logistics Purchasing Business or Engineering preferred.
- Experience:
- 3 years of professional experience in a similar demand planning supply chain or inventory management role desirable.
- IT Tools:
- Good command of Office 365 with advanced Excel skills required.
- Solid knowledge of an ERP system desirable.
- Languages: Fluent in English.
