Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Infrastructure Automation Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in automating infrastructure deployment and management using Python YAML and Ansible AWX. This role will focus on designing developing and maintaining automation solutions to ensure scalable reliable and efficient infrastructure operations.
As an Infrastructure Automation Developer you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps Cloud Engineers and System Administrators to implement automation frameworks and streamline infrastructure processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Infrastructure Automation Development:
- Design develop and maintain automation scripts and playbooks usingPythonandYAMLto automate infrastructure provisioning configuration and management.
- UtilizeAWX(the open-source version of Ansible Tower) to orchestrate and manage automation workflows.
- Ansible and AWX Management:
- Create test and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles to support infrastructure automation.
- Configure and manageAWXenvironments including workflows templates and job scheduling.
- Troubleshoot and optimize AWX workflows for performance and reliability.
- CI/CD Integration:
- Integrate automation workflows into CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment and scaling of infrastructure.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement automated testing and validation for infrastructure changes.
- Monitoring and Maintenance:
- Monitor and maintain automation solutions ensuring they remain up-to-date and aligned with industry best practices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation scripts AWX jobs and infrastructure configurations.
- Collaboration and Documentation:
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide automation solutions tailored to business needs.
- Document automation processes playbooks and workflows for knowledge sharing and operational continuity.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency inPythonfor scripting and automation.
- Strong experience withYAMLfor configuration management and Ansible playbooks.
- Hands-on experience withAWXor Ansible Tower for automation orchestration.
- Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP) and automating cloud infrastructure.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI/CD GitHub Actions).
- Infrastructure and Systems Knowledge:
- Understanding of Linux/Unix systems and basic system administration.
- Knowledge of networking concepts DNS load balancers and firewalls.
- Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
- Knowledge of security best practices in infrastructure automation.
- AWX/Ansible certifications are a plus.
- Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus Grafana or ELK stack.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
