Pay Range
$47.50 - $71.25Atrium Health Navicent Medical Group is looking for an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our General and Bariatric Surgery practice. The nurse practitioner will facilitate administrative and clinical activities under the supervision of the Sponsoring Physician. Be familiar with a variety of general surgical procedures. Collaborates with other advance practice providers nursing and ancillary staff and community agencies to provide continuity of care for patients. Ensures patient safety and confidentiality.
Major Job Functions:
- Mix of Acute Care Surgery
- Provides assessment diagnosis treatment education referral and follow-up for a shared or owned panel of patients or may handle on a by-visit basis.
- Recommends screenings and tests based on patients demographics.
- Manages health care within protocols mutually agreed upon by physician and APP team members.
- Identifies abnormal findings early and initiates appropriate intervention.
- Participates on committees and in research as appropriate.
Specifications
- Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a Master Degree in Nursing.
- Certification/License/Registration: Must maintain a current RN and APRN license to practice in the State of Georgia.
- Special Training/Skills: Must demonstrate competence in their practice setting and must be able to perform with a high degree of accuracy to reduce errors in judgment related to care of patients. Must obtain required CEUs in care of patients in the care setting each renewal period. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
