OurGPS Technology Organization is a structure within the US GPS practice that implements and maintains a new operate and technology model designed specifically to support U.S. defense and Government engagements.

The opportunity

We are looking for a Technical Architect within the US Government and Public Sector Technology this role you will be responsible for delivering solution designs and architectures for key initiatives hosted in primarily in a cloud hosted government platform and considering re-use scalability and reliability in alignment with EYs mission and strategy.

You will develop relationships across the business and EY Technology to understand requirements apply technical knowledge of solution and technical architecture to solve business problems and work closely with other architecture and development teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

In this role you will create reliable solution plans that include cost estimates and optimized delivery approaches by working with the business multi-disciplinary teams including our peers in Technical Solution Management and Product Costing.

As a Technical Architect your key responsibilities are:

• ProvidingTechnical guidance & support to client engagements focusing on complex & innovative products and reusable assetswithin the context of Azure/Azure Gov Platform services
• Creatingdetailed Infrastructure and Engineering designs that account for the end-to-end technical solution of a system in line with the business strategy and objectives and within the context of EYs technology environment and Azure/Azure Gov Platform services
• Abilityto workacross multiple projects with varied directionyoullbuild consensus mediate conflicts providing technical leadership and advisory services to the and potential objections and helpingto create an environment which solicits positive contributions from all participants: Solution and Technical Architects engineering teams product manager project managers product analysts test and project teams Information Security and Operations
• Demonstratingexcellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills that are required to operate as a leading member of global distributed teams that deliver quality services and solutions
• Monitoringthe progress and the quality of the project and reviews and develops due diligence to confirm the developed solution complies with architectural design

To qualify for the roleyou must have

• Thoroughunderstanding of Azure/Azure Gov (Gateways Firewalls Containers ADO etc.) architecture.
• Experience inarchitecting and designingtechnical solutionsforMicrosoft-centric solutions based on industry standardsusing(Azure) IaaSPaaSand SaaS capabilities.
• Experience with any claims-based authentication (SAML/OAuth/OIDC) MFA JIT and/or RBAC / Ping etc.
• Experience indata movement and transformation technologies
• Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation encryption at rest encryption in transit key management vulnerability assessments application firewalls SIEM etc.
• Ability toadopt and relate new technologies to the set of problems we face at EY while adhering to security and other EY standards
• Good understanding of latest cloud computing and data technologies business drivers emerging computing trends and deployment options
• Highlyskilledin definingdesigningand developing distributed and scalable products and services including reusable domain-specific microservices on multi-platform /hybrid clouds (such as Microsoft Azure AWS Google Cloud etc.)
• Abilityto navigate the EY organization to facilitate work beyond the immediate technical team
• Experience with Agile &DevSecOpsmethodologies
• Excellent technical collaboration interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong collaborationabilities willingness to share ideasdocumentationand leading practices
• Conceptual and analyticalskills ability to extract analyze and document complex business and technical requirements/strategies
• Experience with Application Development knowledge and have supported software development in the past
• Handson development experience and directly supported the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
• Bacehlors Degree or relevant work experience
• Ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Security clearance

Ideally youll also have

• Experience with Microsoft Visio or similar design tools.
• Experience with PowerShell in order to manage and administer Azure resources and DevOps deployment pipelines
• Knowledge of US Government & Public Sectorfederal standards including DFARS NIST 800-171 NIST 800-53 CMMC L3 Cloud Computing SRG etc.
• Experience with mission critical technology components with DR capabilities.
• Experience supporting peer teams and theirresponsibilitiessuch as infrastructure operations engineering info-security
• Cloud experience especially US Gov Cloud platforms in particular MicrosoftAzureGov.
• Experience withSoftware development full lifecycle methodologies patterns frameworkslibrariesand tools
• Knowledge of one or more programming and scripting languages such as JavaScript Bash Java Python PHP Ruby PERL C etc.
• Experience with relational graph and/or unstructured data technologies such as SQL Server Azure SQL Cosmos Azure Data Lake etc.
• Working knowledge ofvisualization tools such as Power BI or Tableauand understanding of analytics tools including Azure Stream Analytics SQL Analytics Data Lake Analytics.
• Delivered projects or initiativesusing common methodologies especiallySAFeAgile but also Waterfall Iterative etc.
• Achieved one ormore of the typicalTechnicalArchitecturecertifications e.g. Microsoft MS AzureCertification TOGAF AWS Cloud Certified Pivotal CISSIP Zachman ITIL Cisco (ISC)2 CEHSAFe PMI and SAP etc.
• Demonstrated experience designing architecting and implementing cloudnative applications on Azure/Azure Gov using modern architecture patterns such as microservices eventdriven design containerized workloads and serverless computing.
  • Handson expertise with Azure App Services Azure Functions API Management Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Logic Apps and related integration services to build scalable secure and resilient applications.
  • Ability to translate business and functional requirements into endtoend application architectures including user experience flows API design data models integration patterns and operational considerations.
  • Strong understanding of performance optimization resiliency disaster recovery strategies and application lifecycle management within Azure environments.
    Experience implementing secure application designs aligned with Zero Trust principles including identity integration (AAD/Azure AD B2C) managed identities RBAC Key Vault usage secret management and compliance with US Gov Cloud security frameworks.
  • Proven ability to partner with engineering teams to guide application development enforce architectural standards and ensure adoption of DevSecOps practices in CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps GitHub etc.).
  • Familiarity with modern development frameworks and languages commonly used in Azurebased application development (e.g. .NET Java Python ).
