Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experiencedEngineering Leader to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in large-scale cloud/SaaS application development and delivery with a strong background in the Power and Electrical domain. This role requires hands-on experience with Distributed Energy Resources (DER) microgrids and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Lead the Engineering team of 60 and the development of complex software systems for large-scale cloud-based applications within the power and electrical industry.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define design and deliver innovative software solutions that integrate DER microgrids and BESS.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to the development team ensuring best practices and high standards in software architecture.
- Design and implement scalable reliable and secure solutions to meet the evolving requirements of the energy industry.
- Conduct technology evaluations and make strategic decisions on software architecture and tools to ensure scalability and performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business challenges and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends in cloud development and energy technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Masters or bachelorsdegree in computer science Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 15 years ofexperienceas a Engineering Leader/NPI Delivery Leader with a strong background in large-scale cloud development.
- 10years experiencein the Power and Electrical domainwith hands on development experience on EPMS system.
- Hands on experience withmicrogrid concepts including islanding operation grid-connected operation energy management control strategies and power flow management within a microgrid system. Familiarity of microgrid control systems and automation technologies such as supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems energy management
- In depth understandingof power electronics and their application in renewable energy systems and microgrids including inverters converters and other power electronic devices to interface and control DERs. Prior experience with protection & control design concepts including one-lines three-lines schematics wiring etc.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.
- Strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile and DevOps.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Experience with IoT data analytics and real-time systems is a plus.
