EY GDS Business Consulting one of the fastest-growing service lines in EY GDS Client Service provides Technical & Business Consulting services. As part of our EY GDS - SC&O team you will help clients to assess their supply chain processes evaluate & develop the supply chain transformation strategies and optimize the various supply chain processes using the proven EY approach.

The Opportunity:

Were looking for Consultants/Managers with expertise in Supply Chain Consulting/Analytics/ Logistics/ Warehouse Operations/ to join the Logistics Consulting group of our EY-GDS SC&O Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a leading firm whilst being instrumental in the growth of a new service offering. The consultants are expected to work on supply chain/logistics engagements for our clients globally.

Key Responsibilities:

At least 3-8 years within the relevant domain of warehouse operations across industries and work experience providing solutions in a commercial setting.

Warehouse Design and Layout:

• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and design efficient warehouse layouts using tools such as AutoCAD.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing warehouse facilities and propose improvements to optimize space utilization and workflow efficiency.

Warehouse Operations Consulting:

• Analyze and evaluate current warehouse processes and workflows.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement cost reduction and operational efficiency.
• Provide recommendations for implementing best practices in warehouse management.

Warehouse Management Systems (WMS):

• Demonstrate expertise in various WMS solutions (ex. SAP EWM Manhattan WMOS Blue Yonder WMS Oracle WMS etc).
• Evaluate client needs and recommend suitable WMS solutions for integration.
• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure seamless integration of WMS into warehouse operations.

Automation Integration:

• Demonstrate a deep understanding of warehouse automation technologies.
• Collaborate with clients to assess the feasibility and benefits of implementing automation solutions.
• Provide expertise in integrating automated systems into existing warehouse infrastructure.

Client Relationship Management:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Communicate effectively to understand their evolving needs and challenges.
• Deliver presentations and reports to clients outlining proposed solutions and improvements.

Warehouse Operations Improvement:

• Lead initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity.
• Implement continuous improvement methodologies to drive operational excellence.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to suggest innovative solutions.

General skills to have:

• Good to have knowledge of R/Python SQL Excel any BI tool (Tableau/Qlikview/Power BI/Alteryx).
• Experience working in projects with cross-functional and cross-country stakeholders.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect organize analyze and disseminate insights.
• Ability to prepare and deliver presentations for clients and management is an essential part of the role.
• Consulting experience will be considered a plus.
• Effective communication skills and experience in the client-facing role are required.

Qualifications

• MBA (Supply Chain/ Operations) from Tier-1/2 institutes with 5-10 years of relevant business/consulting experience in logistics function is crucial.
• Bachelors degree in supply chain management Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in warehouse operations and design consulting.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design tools.
• Strong understanding of warehouse automation technologies.
• Familiarity with various WMS solutions such as SAP EWM Manhattan WMOS Blue Yonder WMS Oracle WMS etc.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and presentation abilities.
• Project management experience is a plus.
