Registered Nurse (RN) Neuro Telemetry - Travel Position (with $7500 Completion Bonus)

Duration:13 weeks
Shift:3x12 Nights
Pay:$2190.24/week(plus $2500 completion bonus per contract up to $7500 after three contracts)
Position Summary:
The Neuro Telemetry RN provides specialized nursing care to patients with neurological conditions who require continuous cardiac and neurological monitoring in an acute care setting. This role involves assessing patient status interpreting telemetry data administering medications and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Care:
- Perform comprehensive assessments for patients with neurological disorders (e.g. stroke seizures traumatic brain injuries).
- Monitor and interpret telemetry and neurological status responding promptly to changes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed including IV therapy and neuro-specific interventions.
- Clinical Monitoring:
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments interventions and outcomes.
- Utilize telemetry equipment and ensure proper electrode placement and signal quality.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with neurologists physicians and allied health professionals to develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families on disease processes recovery expectations and discharge planning.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Adhere to hospital policies infection control standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with stroke protocols and neuro care guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (BSN preferred).
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN license in State/Region.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
- Experience:
- Minimum 12 years of acute care experience; neuro or telemetry experience strongly preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and neuro-specific care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
