Job Description & Summary
At PwC our people in deals focus on providing strategic advice and support to clients in areas such as mergers and acquisitions divestitures and restructuring. They help clients navigate complex transactions and maximise value in their business deals.
Those in corporate finance at PwC will provide strategic financial advice and solutions to help clients navigate complex business transactions and optimise their capital structure. You will analyse financial data conduct due diligence and assist in mergers acquisitions and divestitures.
Your Impact
- Support sell-side and buy-side mandates across the entire transaction lifecycle.
- Perform company valuations (DCF trading & transaction multiples LBO scenario analyses) and build integrated financial models.
- Prepare pitch books teasers information memoranda and management presentations.
- Coordinate due diligence processes and manage data rooms.
- Interact with clients investors banks legal and tax and other advisors throughout the transaction process.
- Conduct market and competitive analyses and identify potential investors or targets.
- Continuously develop your technical expertise and soft skills through on- and off-the-job training and dedicated coaching.
- Build a strong professional network within a diverse and international environment and explore internal career development opportunities.
Your Skill Set
- Masters degree in Finance Accounting Business Administration Economics or science-based disciplines (e.g. Mathematics Engineering Technology).
- For Associate level: strong academic track record and relevant practical experience through internships in M&A Corporate Finance Investment Banking Transaction Services or related fields.
- For Senior Associate level: minimum 2 years of relevant full-time experience in M&A Investment Banking Corporate Finance or comparable transaction-related roles.
- Solid understanding of financial modelling and corporate valuation methodologies with strong analytical thinking structured working style and high attention to detail.
- High level of motivation resourcefulness and the ability to perform effectively in dynamic collaborative and deadline-driven transaction environments.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint as well as confidence in using analytical and data tools; affinity for digital and AI-based tools is considered an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills with fluency in both German and English is required; additional language skills is considered an advantage.
- International exposure (e.g. exchange semester international internships or work experience abroad) is considered an advantage.
- A collaborative team player with a positive mindset and a genuine interest in solving complex challenges bringing your own ideas and perspectives to the table.
