OVERVIEW
As the Buying Intern you will have a supporting role on the Buying team andobservethe key functions of our department. You will help all divisions (womens mens accessories international) with reporting needs and day-to-day deliverables. You will spend time shadowing each buyer as they manage daily business and partner with cross functional teams. The Alo internship programsstartsJune 8th and ends July 31st. Interns will be working40 hoursa week at our Beverly Hills HQ.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support buying process through analytical and project-based work including mock or sample buys by category to build understanding of assortment strategyforecastingand end-to-end buy mechanics.
- Assistin preparing weekly reports
- Monitor inventory levels for key products at total company and store level
- Helpmonitordaily sales for color launches
- Have weekly call with regional store managers to gather information for buyers
- Conduct PO Management tasks such as tracking and monitoring Warehouse ETAs and in-turnadvisethe Merchandising Team whether launch dates will be met or at risk.
- Ensure systems (Anaplan) and all data have been updated correctly for the team to be able to use.
- Track businessperformance:helpidentifyrisks and opportunities with Buyers for reacting to current business.
- Attend all pertinent meetings for the divisions and take notes to share with the team
- Help manage buying team calendar needs
REQUIREMENTS
- Currently pursuing a BA in Fashion Business Management or a related field
- Entrepreneurial spirit
- Natural self-starter and problem solver with a growth mindset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent Excel skills
The compensation for this position is $25 per hour.
