Job Summary
A well-regarded secondary school in Bournemouth is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Chemistry Teacher to join its successful Science department from April 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to teach engaged pupils in a supportive environment where high standards and strong outcomes are prioritised.
Chemistry is a well-established subject within the school with good uptake at GCSE and A Level and a strong emphasis on both practical work and conceptual understanding.
The Role
Teaching Chemistry across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured lessons
Supporting pupils with practical investigations and exam preparation
Encouraging analytical thinking and scientific enquiry
Working collaboratively within a supportive Science department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Chemistry or a closely related subject
Experience teaching Chemistry at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement and progress
