To support the delivery of high-quality practical science lessons the school is seeking a skilled and organised Science Technician.
The Science Technician will support practical teaching across Biology Chemistry and Physics.
Key responsibilities include:
Preparing equipment and materials for practical lessons
Maintaining laboratory apparatus
Ensuring safe storage of chemicals
Managing stock control and ordering supplies
Supporting GCSE and A Level practical assessments
Complying with COSHH regulations
Cleaning and maintaining laboratory spaces
Assisting teachers during demonstrations
Maintaining safety documentation
Conducting regular equipment checks
This role requires attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
The technician works closely with the Head of Science and teaching staff. Clear systems are in place for preparation and safety.
Experience in a laboratory or school setting
Knowledge of health and safety regulations
