POSITION SUMMARY:The Registered Nurse (RN) provides planned skilled nursing care for patients in the preoperative postoperative and intraoperative periods. The RN provides assessment patient surveillance and timely administration of physicians orders to prepare patients for procedures. The RN provides continuous patient surveillance for early recognition and immediate emergency treatment of medical or surgical complications that may arise in any postoperative patient and determine that the patient is suitable for discharge. The RN provides patient and family member with an additional opportunity for education and review of the postoperative & EXPERIENCE:Graduate of accredited School of Nursing requiredCurrent state licensure requiredExperience in postoperative or critical care area preferredACLS CertifiedIVCS CertifiedQUALIFICATIONS:Willingness to assign high priority to patient comfort and satisfactionAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretionHighly organized and detail oriented; particularly in regards to time management Ability to prioritize key objectives while performing daily tasks as well as the ability to manage multiple duties simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExcellent interpersonal negotiation and conflict resolution skillsComputer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to effectively utilize applicable electronic systems and programsWORK SCHEDULE:PRN
