Knowledge Skills & Abilities
Responsibilities
- Conducts an initial assessment of the injury in order to provide emergency or continued care.
- Applies protective or injury prevention devices such as tape bandages or braces to the affected area.
- Collaborates with the physician in order to develop and implement a comprehensive rehabilitation program for athletic injuries.
- Liasion with the community to educate the public about injury prevention awareness.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation of all injuries in accordance with UMMC and regulatory standards.
- Assists coaches in developing athletic training programs to minimize injuries.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical and Environmental Demands:
