Title: Cybersecurity Engineer
Location: McLean VA (preferred) or Plano TX (5 days - Onsite)
Role Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Engineering Lead to drive enterprise security initiatives with a strong focus on Privileged Access Management (PAM) credential management endpoint security and automation.
This role requires deep hands-on engineering expertise leadership capability and the ability to design scalable compliant solutions in highly regulated environments. The candidate will participate in a monthly on-call rotation and provide Level 3 production support.

Lead administration and monitoring of endpoint security technologies
Balance technical and business needs for privileged access solutions
Align PAM designs with Zero Trust architecture and enterprise standards
Mentor and guide team members for growth and engagement
Define and enforce best practices for PAM and credential management systems
Continuous Improvement & Automation
Champion an automation-first mindset
Identify repeatable tasks and drive automation initiatives
Track milestones risks and delivery using Jira
Communicate progress and dependencies to leadership
Compliance Risk & Best Practices
Ensure solutions align with regulatory frameworks (e.g. NIST)
Design secure scalable solutions for regulated environments
Support audits and compliance assessments
Proactively identify and mitigate security risks
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
Embed security into platforms without degrading user experience
Partner with senior leadership to evaluate and implement new technologies
Act as a trusted advisor across engineering security and operations teams
Must-Have Qualifications
7 years of hands-on experience in security engineering
4 years of hands-on experience with PAM solutions
Strong experience with AWS Ansible Python scripting and automation
Experience supporting privileged access in large enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications
CyberArk experience
Security certifications (e.g. CISSP CISM GIAC preferred)
Exposure to AI and Machine Learning in security use cases
Technical Qualifications
8 years of overall IT experience with focus on PAM and credential management
Bachelors degree in IT Computer Science Engineering or equivalent experience
Expertise in Just-In-Time (JIT) access and Zero Standing Privileges (ZSP)
Knowledge of malware protection and endpoint security tools
Experience with identity lifecycle management systems
Familiarity with SIEM configuration and operations
Strong knowledge of Windows Linux databases and mainframes
PAM experience across hybrid and multi-cloud environments (AWS Azure GCP)
AWS security services and CloudFormation exposure
Experience with firewalls VPNs and network segmentation
Familiarity with Ansible and Terraform
Strong troubleshooting skills (Windows OS & networking)
Experience supporting encryption technologies and security appliances
