Role Overview
A team is being formed to build Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors that enable scalable production-grade generative AI integrations. This team is responsible for delivering a modular connector architecture beginning with Databricks and Snowflake to support a growing AI agent ecosystem.
We are hiring a senior Python-focused MCP developer immediately to support a critical proof-of-concept deadline. These are hands-on engineering roles requiring deep Python expertise strong MCP knowledge and the ability to deliver independently within an evolving architecture.
Key Responsibilities
- Design build and maintain MCP connectors for enterprise platforms (initial focus on Databricks and Snowflake).
- Develop clean production-ready Python services and libraries supporting connector architecture.
- Integrate with a variety of third-party APIs authentication models and data sources.
- Contribute to early-stage architecture while delivering high-quality production-grade code.
- Build and maintain unit tests CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with AI agent teams and technical leadership to align connector behavior with platform needs.
- Participate in in-office technical discussions design reviews and implementation planning.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong Python expertise (primary language) with 3 5 years of hands-on development experience.
- Direct MCP experience is required (approximately 1 year preferred).
- Proven experience building production Python applications (not scripting-only roles).
- Solid understanding of Model Context Protocol concepts behaviors and lifecycle.
- Familiarity with or hands-on experience using the FastMCP library.
- Ability to work independently own deliverables end-to-end and contribute immediately.
- Experience working with REST APIs authentication flows and external vendor integrations.
- Working knowledge of:
- SQL (Postgres preferred)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Git-based development workflows
Nice to Have
- Experience building connectors or integrations for Databricks or Snowflake.
- Background in AI LLM-based systems or agent-driven architectures.
- Exposure to large-scale or multi-connector integration platforms.

- Candidates whose primary background is Java pivoting to Python.
- Over-reliance on AI coding tools without strong foundational engineering skills.
- Candidates unable to demonstrate hands-on coding depth and independent problem-solving.
