Role Overview

A team is being formed to build Model Context Protocol (MCP) connectors that enable scalable production-grade generative AI integrations. This team is responsible for delivering a modular connector architecture beginning with Databricks and Snowflake to support a growing AI agent ecosystem.

We are hiring a senior Python-focused MCP developer immediately to support a critical proof-of-concept deadline. These are hands-on engineering roles requiring deep Python expertise strong MCP knowledge and the ability to deliver independently within an evolving architecture.

Key Responsibilities

Design build and maintain MCP connectors for enterprise platforms (initial focus on Databricks and Snowflake).
Develop clean production-ready Python services and libraries supporting connector architecture.
Integrate with a variety of third-party APIs authentication models and data sources.
Contribute to early-stage architecture while delivering high-quality production-grade code.
Build and maintain unit tests CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
Collaborate with AI agent teams and technical leadership to align connector behavior with platform needs.
Participate in in-office technical discussions design reviews and implementation planning.

Required Skills & Experience

Strong Python expertise (primary language) with 3 5 years of hands-on development experience.
Direct MCP experience is required (approximately 1 year preferred).
Proven experience building production Python applications (not scripting-only roles).
Solid understanding of Model Context Protocol concepts behaviors and lifecycle.
Familiarity with or hands-on experience using the FastMCP library.
Ability to work independently own deliverables end-to-end and contribute immediately.
Experience working with REST APIs authentication flows and external vendor integrations.
Working knowledge of:
- SQL (Postgres preferred)
- CI/CD pipelines
- Git-based development workflows

Nice to Have

Experience building connectors or integrations for Databricks or Snowflake.
Background in AI LLM-based systems or agent-driven architectures.
Exposure to large-scale or multi-connector integration platforms.

Candidates whose primary background is Java pivoting to Python.
Over-reliance on AI coding tools without strong foundational engineering skills.
Candidates unable to demonstrate hands-on coding depth and independent problem-solving.
Use of tools like Copilot is acceptable but independent coding ability is mandatory.
