Technical & Industry Experience
Co-op internship or vacation student experience in an engineering or industrial environment is an asset.
Foundational technical and practical understanding of instrumentation and control systems.
Knowledge of the fundamentals of instrumentation engineering with awareness of related disciplines such as electrical process and mechanical engineering.
Developing skills with instrumentation and engineering software tools (e.g. AutoCAD SmartPlant Aveva or similar).
Working knowledge of standard productivity tools (e.g. MS Office Suite).
Education Qualifications & Training
Required:
A recognized and relevant engineering degree (Instrumentation Electrical Mechatronics or related discipline) that is eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training and progression toward Professional Engineer status.

Purpose
As part of the Worley Graduate Community and under the guidance of experienced instrumentation and controls engineers the Graduate Instrumentation Engineer-In-Training will support the delivery of high-quality engineering services to Worley and our customers. This role provides structured mentorship hands-on project exposure and a strong foundation for your professional development toward registration as a Professional Engineer.
Responsibilities
Deliver instrumentation engineering services that meet Worley customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements on time and within budget.
You will support the instrumentation and controls discipline by:
Contributing to engineering studies technical assessments and design reviews and recommending appropriate actions under supervision.
Assisting with the preparation of instrumentation and control system deliverables including:
Instrument data sheets
Control narratives and philosophies
Loop diagrams and wiring diagrams
Specifications calculations and technical reports
Supporting the development of detailed designs and drawings in accordance with project and client standards.
Collaborating effectively with the instrumentation team multidisciplinary engineering teams and project stakeholders including clients and vendors.
Identifying technical issues and risks proposing practical solutions and escalating when guidance or support is required.
Maintaining strong safety awareness and contributing to Worleys culture of health safety and environmental responsibility.
