Job Description Summary:


Performs MRI examinations on pediatric patients ensuring the production of quality diagnostic images.


Job Description:


Essential Functions:

  • Operates MRI equipment to produce diagnostic images of patients internal structures.
  • Prepares patients for MRI procedures by positioning them correctly and administering contrast media as required.
  • Monitors patients during MRI scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Maintains accurate patient records and ensures that all images are properly labeled and stored.
  • Maintains MRI equipment to ensure optimal image quality and patient safety.
  • Collaborates with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret MRI images and provide accurate diagnoses.


Education Requirement:

Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology required.


Licensure Requirement:

  • Active Status with the Registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.


Certifications:

  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • ARRT certification (MRI) within 18 months of employment required.


Skills:

Excellent communication and organizational skills.


Experience:

  • Two years of clinical experience in the Radiologic Sciences required.
  • One year of experience in MRI procedures preferred.
  • Experience in pediatric setting preferred.

Essential Job Functions:

Must be able to see hear stand walk speak read and perform manual tasks with or without accommodation and care for oneself with little or no difficulty.
Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
