Internal Systems Developer

The Internal Systems Developer partners with a collaborative technical team to maintain optimize and scale internal business systems. This role supports application development and platform administration efforts while driving process documentation system stability and cross-platform integration.

You will bridge operational needs with technical executionensuring systems are efficient well-documented and positioned to scale as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems Development & Collaboration

• Partner with the Lead Developer and platform administrator to implement system enhancements and maintain clean reliable backend logic.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and optimization of internal applications.

Process Documentation & Governance

• Map business workflows and translate them into clear process diagrams SOPs configuration documentation and user guides.
• Maintain structured documentation to reduce technical debt and improve long-term system sustainability.

Platform & Integration Support

• Support data integrity and consistency across platforms including QuickBase SharePoint and Sage.
• Assist in monitoring integrations to ensure accurate data flow between systems.

QuickBase Configuration Support

• Assist with building tables managing field logic refining user permissions and supporting workflow automation.
• Help maintain system stability while improving reporting and usability.

System Rollout & User Support

• Support deployment of system updates and enhancements.
• Communicate changes to stakeholders and gather feedback to inform future improvements.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Diagnose and resolve system issues in collaboration with the technical team.
• Recommend usability and performance improvements.

Qualifications:

Experience

• 13 years of experience in backend development systems support or technical analysis.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python with interest in backend web application development (e.g. Flask or similar frameworks).
• Working knowledge of REST APIs and data integration concepts.
• Strong understanding of relational databases data mapping and transformation.

Documentation & Process Discipline

• Demonstrated ability to create structured process documentation configuration guides and end-user manuals.

Platform Experience

• Experience with or strong interest in learning QuickBase configuration reporting and workflow automation.

Professional Skills

• Analytical solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.

Work Environment:

• Primarily office-based with occasional regional travel as needed.
• Regular computer-based work requiring extended keyboarding and screen time.
• Occasional bending crouching or kneeling as needed.
