Job Description
We are looking for an Internal Audit specialist to temporarily reinforce the internal audit team.
As an Internal Auditor you will have a versatile and influential role with following responsibilities
- Review the companys operational IT and financial processes to ensure they are satisfactory in terms of internal control effectiveness and efficiency.
- Execute the audit plan: Prepare plan and execute audit assignments validate findings and establish recommendations.
- When executing audit assignments apply the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors and the clients Group Internal Audit Charter and Methodology
- Check that processes comply with the governance principles applicable within the company and with external laws and regulations.
- Translate audit observations into clear effective reports and language tailored for senior and executive management audiences. Present the audit results at the various levels concerned.
- Periodically monitor the execution of action plans agreed with the audited departments.
- Leverage the GRC software to gather and exchange information efficiently with action owners and other control functions including Internal Audit and Risk & Compliance teams in both Belgium and Germany.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in internal audit in multinational environments and/ or Big4 companies giving you a solid understanding of planning and executing internal audits.
- The ability to draw conclusions and make effective recommendations out of all information gathered.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- The ability to work independently as well as in (cross-functional) teams.
- A pragmatic and hands-on approach.
- Knowledge of the electricity sector is a plus as well as a CIA certification.
- Good level of Dutch and/or French and English is required.
