FSP - Director Analytical Laboratory Services

Shift: Full-Time; Monday Friday; 8am-5pm EST

Our Laboratories Functional Service Partnership (FSP) team plays a direct role in advancing drug development by creating sustained groups of talent within our customers organizations to provide long-term support. Through this collaborative approach our professionals bring their commitment to excellence industry knowledge and operational strength directly into customer environments helping to enhance capabilities and advance the delivery of life-changing therapies.

Key responsibilities:

  • Oversees all aspects of management of laboratory operations and ensures productivity efficiency and quality of the work is maintained and financial goals of the business are achieved.
  • Allocates resources facilities and personnel where necessary.
  • Plans and develops laboratory policies and ensures proper implementation.
  • Provides technical leadership and mentors lab management staff.
  • Develops and maintains client relationships.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in lab sciences such as Chemistry Biochemistry Material Science Immunology Biology Molecular Biology or similar
  • 10 years ofrelevantexperience in regulatory environment
  • 8 years people leadership
  • 1-5 years of Account Leadershipto ensure consistent quality

In some cases an equivalency consisting of a combination of appropriate education training and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Must haveprevioushands-on experience in analytical development production and/or R&D
  • Scientific background with hands on tobacco and/or consumer product laboratory experience
  • A good understanding ofday to daybusiness operations specificallyreatedto analytical laboratories
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with ability to influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Proventrack recordof developing and implementing lab service strategies that drive business results
  • Demonstrate strong client service skills teamwork and collaboration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management and organization skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to support quality decision making
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
