Timmons Group is currently seeking an experienced Civil Project Engineer III candidate to join our Stormwater Group located in our Charlotte NC office location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to investigate storm drainage issues and support stormwater management designs
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilizes computers in order to solve problems with HEC-RAS HEC-HMS SWMM models.
- Provide engineering assistance for the design of stormwater control measures stormwater retrofit designs and other stormwater related projects
- Conduct background research on technical issues and write clear reports and memorandums to convey project results to our clients
- Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
- Participate in field data collection and construction observation duties as directed
- Communicate with clients and internal design team as directed by the Project Manager
Skills/Requirements of a successful candidate include but are not limited to:
- A bachelors or masters degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related degree
- Ideal candidates would have 5-8 years of water resources engineering including municipal drainage proficiency in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling
- A demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
- Working knowledge of CADD software (Civil 3D preferred)
- Must be dependable responsible and have good written/verbal communication skills
- Must have a valid drivers license
