Job Summary
Job Title: Registered Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer
Location: Brooklyn NY 11203
Duration: 14 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift 5x8 Hours
Pay Rate: $55 $60 per hour
Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Registered Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer to perform high-quality diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations. The technologist will support physicians in evaluating cardiac structure and function while ensuring patient safety accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive diagnostic echocardiography procedures.
Acquire high-quality cardiac ultrasound images for physician interpretation.
Identify and document abnormal findings appropriately.
Assist physicians with cardiac diagnostic procedures as needed.
Maintain patient safety and comfort throughout all examinations.
Patient Care & Safety
Prepare and properly position patients for cardiac imaging studies.
Clearly explain procedures and address patient questions or concerns.
Adhere to infection control and safety standards.
Equipment & Documentation
Operate cardiac ultrasound equipment in accordance with departmental guidelines.
Ensure accurate image storage and documentation in medical records.
Maintain a clean organized and functional work environment.
Qualifications
Required Experience
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Echo Technician / Cardiac Sonographer.
Preferred Experience
Experience performing stress echocardiography.
Education
Completion of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist training program (including approved military training programs).
Required Certifications
Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) ARDMS
ORRegistered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) CCI
Preferred Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS)
