Clinical Specialist Radiographer (CSR) Ultrasound

Purpose of the Role

The purpose of this post is to take responsibility for the day-to-day management and running of Ultrasound (US) Services within Childrens Health Ireland (CHI) based out of Crumlin. The role involves leading guiding and supervising radiographic and other staff while successfully managing the paediatric US service and ensuring the effective utilisation of all allocated resources.

In addition the post holder will assume responsibility for coordinating the transition and running of future US services at the new National Childrens Hospital

To manage in a rapidly changing environment and be willing to undertake such additional duties within the Diagnostic Imaging Department also as may be assigned from time to time.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor of Radiography for Diagnostic Radiography or possess the Diploma of the College of Radiographers or equivalent

Be registered on the Radiography Division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU

On appointment practitioners must maintain live annual registration on the relevant division of the Radiographers Register maintained by the Radiographers Registration Board at CORU once initial registration is secured

Possess a recognized postgraduate qualification in Ultrasound as recognised by the IIRRT and 3 years clinical experience in Ultrasound
