Pay: HK$158552 to HK$182669 (HGPS Pt. 45 49) per month including Monthly Allowance
Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide specialist services.

2. Supervise Residents undergoing specialist training.

3. Undertake administrative work.

4. Undergo continuing medical education and professional development.

Entry Requirements

1. Registered medical practitioner under the Medical Registration Ordinance; and

2. (a) Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Emergency Medicine) or

(b) Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Medicine) Critical Care Medicine Board or

(c) Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) Intensive Care Board; or equivalent; and

3. Registered in the Specialist Register in the relevant specialty of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.

Candidates who have not acquired the entry requirements under 2 and 3 but who have passed the exit examination and completed the necessary specialist training requirements before the application deadline may apply. If found suitable for appointment they may be appointed to the post subject to their production of the required qualifications i.e. FHKAM and specialist registration within 12 months after appointment to the post.
