Key Responsibilities
Preparing chemicals equipment and materials for Chemistry lessons
Supporting practical experiments across KS3 KS4 and KS5
Ensuring safe storage handling and disposal of chemicals in line with COSHH regulations
Maintaining laboratory equipment and monitoring stock levels
Assisting teachers during practical sessions when required
Keeping accurate records of resources and compliance checks
Supporting the wider Science department where necessary
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Previous experience in a laboratory or Science Technician role
Strong knowledge of Chemistry practical procedures and safety standards
Understanding of health & safety and COSHH regulations
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
The ability to prioritise tasks in a busy school environment
