Job Summary
A well-renowned and high-achieving secondary school in High Wycombe is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design & Technology Teacher to join its successful DT department from April 2026. Design & Technology is a valued subject within the school with strong uptake at KS3 and KS4 and opportunities at KS5 depending on specialism.
The Role
Teaching Design & Technology across KS3 and KS4 with KS5 depending on experience
Planning and delivering engaging well-structured practical and theory-based lessons
Supporting pupils with coursework NEA and project-based learning
Encouraging creativity innovation and technical skill development
Maintaining high standards of health and safety within workshops
Working collaboratively within a supportive and well-resourced department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
A degree in Design & Technology or a related subject
Experience teaching DT at secondary level
Strong subject knowledge across one or more DT specialisms
High expectations for pupil engagement behaviour and progress
A professional organised and positive teaching approach
