We are looking for a Banqueting Manager to join the Food & Beverage team of Hotel Excelsior Venice Lido Resort a landmark seasonal hotel with 196 rooms and extensive meeting and banqueting spaces.
The role
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Management you will oversee the planning and execution of banqueting and conference operations ensuring high service standards across a wide range of events. You will lead a team largely composed of casual and agency staff supported by an in-house Supervisor working closely with the Executive Chef and Events team.
Key responsibilities
Manage and coordinate all banqueting and conference operations from preparation to service delivery
Lead motivate and train the banqueting team ensuring professionalism engagement and service consistency
Collaborate closely with Kitchen Events Housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure smooth execution of events
Oversee staffing briefings and scheduling in line with forecasted business levels
Ensure compliance with health & safety hygiene and hotel standards
Monitor service quality and stock levels
Actively participate in service when required maintaining a hands-on leadership style

Experience in banqueting and events operations within hotels or high-volume venues
