Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technicians as part of our Work Based Learning Program (WBLP).This trainee requires the successful candidatereportto a site willparticipatein our 12-month work and training program in our Frederick MD location.

All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations:

Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds; andparticipatein group lifts for 41 pounds

Ability to work in an environment thatoperates24/7 with an ability toparticipatein primary responder rotation and provide after-hours support as needed

Working in cramped and/or elevated and/or noisy environments

Bending lifting stretching reachingstandingand walking for up to 8 hours a day

Ascending and descending ladders stairs and gangways safely and without limitation

Tolerance for working in non-climate-controlledenvironments with temperature fluctuations.

Successfully completing the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum including all required safety certifications technical competencies and performance milestone

Key job responsibilities
Moving and implementing large enterprise equipment

Installing Fiber and Copper cabling and patching cabling between equipment

Ensuring proper safety and security standards aremaintainedduring cabling and rack installation

Following well established hardware installation procedures and break-fix activities

Safely using material handling tools and equipment

Coordinating with third party contractors

Traveling with personal vehicle within the regional work area is required

Successfully completing the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum including all required safety certifications technical competencies and performance milestones.

A day in the life
To be successful in this role you shouldpossesstechnical aptitude written and oral communicationsskillsand the ability to deal effectively with people in a wide variety of addition you mustpossessstrong analytical skills withdemonstratedproblem solving ability. You will be able toleverageyourexperienceexercisinghigh levelsof initiative judgment and diplomacy.

Additionally all candidates should be willing to work both independently and with a team. Work prioritization organizational skills effective communication and the ability to react quickly are critical to being successful.

You willbe requiredto work shift work that will include days/nights/weekends/holidays. Traveling within the regional work area is willbe responsible forhaving a reliable personal vehicle and a valid drivers license to travel within the regional work area as company transportation will not be provided.

- High school or equivalent diploma
- Are 18 years of age or older
- Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations

- Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
- Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system and coordination with Manager
- STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications

The starting pay for this position is listed below. Final starting pay will be based on factors including experience qualifications and location.
