Job Summary:

The Data Platform Services team is seeking a Data Engineer with an inquisitive and analytical mindset to join our data engineering your role you will be responsible for developing maintaining and optimizing our cloud-based data infrastructure as well as designing and implementing efficient data extraction and ingestion processes. You will also be responsible for working with stakeholders to identify data needs investigating opportunities to improve platform scalability building generic solutions for patterned problems and ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

With occasional guidance:

Design and develop performant data pipelines that support a variety of source system types (flat files APIs databases etc.)
Troubleshoot issues with production pipelines and work with internal stakeholders to deploy fixes
Develop tools and services used by other teams to create test and deliver data-related assets
Provide administration support for our Azure Databricks platform

TECHNICAL CAPABILITIES:

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors Degree
2 years Python and/or C## in an OOP paradigm experience
2 years implementing cloud solutions with Azure AWS or GCP
1 years with SQL experience

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with REST data services APIs and microservices
Experience with Git
Experience with containerization with Docker or Podman

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with Databricks or Apache Spark with certifications being a plus
Experience with PowerShell and/or Bash
Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions such as Terraform
Experience CI/CD automation in GitLab GitHub or Azure DevOps
GitHub profile link to some personal code examples
