Traffic Control/Flagger Person

Key Information:

Hours: Project dependant; however overtime is required during the busy season.
Must be willing to work evenings and weekends.
Hourly rate is dependent on experience.

Job description:

Perform traffic control and flagging activities.
Must be able to follow safety rules and regulations on all work zone and flagging sites including placing signs barricades traffic cones and other warning devices.
Safely controlling vehicular pedestrian and construction traffic movements in a work area.
Duties may vary according to job assignment.
Ability to effectively coordinate with other TCPs onsite.
Be available for overtime and weekends.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Experience and certification requirements:

Hold a valid Traffic Control Person certification.
Have work experience as a TCP.
CSTS 2020 WHMIS 2015 are minimal safety ticket requirement.
A valid drivers license (class 5) required.
A drivers abstract is required and must be obtained no more than 30 days prior to employment start date.
A reliable means of transportation is required.
Proficient English language skills required.

Education: Traffic Control Person Certification or equivalent required.
