SUMMARY:

Scottsdale Arts is seeking a Donor Experience Manager Private Giving who is energized by people motivated by meaningful relationships and committed to helping donors make a lasting impact in the arts and culture community they can be proud this role you will guide our supporters through a thoughtful management process and drive a strong pipeline of private donors. Your work will play a key part in helping us reach and exceed our philanthropic revenue goals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Under direction of supervisor)

Grow and Manage the Donor Pipeline

Maintain an active portfolio of private donors and prospects.

In partnership with our stewardship counterpart develop personalized cultivation solicitation and stewardship plans that reflect each donors interests and connection to our mission.

Conduct prospect research to strengthen the pipeline and identify new opportunities for meaningful engagement.

Track movement through the pipeline with care and clarity always keeping donors at the center.

Build and Strengthen Relationships

Hold meaningful conversations with current and prospective donors through calls emails visits and attending both internal and external events.

Craft communications that feel genuine and thoughtful.

Ensure every donor feels valued informed about the work happening at Scottsdale Arts and appreciated for their generosity.

Drive Fundraising Results

  • Partner with the Chief Development Officer (CDO) to set annual revenue goals and co-create strategies to reach them.
  • Work closely with CDO and key internal partners to ensure philanthropic revenue plan stays on track.
  • Communicate confidently and proactively about progress challenges and opportunities for support with the private giving pipeline.
  • Prepare compelling proposals and donor materials that speak to our mission and impact.
  • Monitor progress and adjust plans when needed to meet goals.

Collaborate Across the Organization

  • Engage with the development team to support a coordinated and cohesive donor experience.
  • Manage relationships across departments and encourage a culture of philanthropy.
  • Participate in internal events that help deepen organizational connections.

Additionally you will be required to support other duties and activities as needed.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education: Bachelors degree in a related field of study.

Experience: minimum 3 years experience in private giving donor relations or other person-centered fundraising work with demonstrated results in closing gifts from private donors.

  • You have a working knowledge of the philanthropic landscape throughout the Phoenix-Metro.

Work Environment:

Regularly required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for long periods of time.

Must ambulate in event locations stoop kneel bend and stand for long periods of time.

Must sit and use hands to finger handle or feel see and reach with hands and arms to operate computer equipment telephone and basic office equipment.

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and color vision.

While performing the duties of this job may occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Scottsdale Arts is a non-smoking work environment.

Requires a flexible schedule including weeknight evenings and weekends to support and attend Center programs fundraisers and special events and other related donor cultivation events.

Travels within the metropolitan valley area frequently.

Other requirements:

Must possess valid drivers license and driving record which is acceptable to the organizations insurance carrier
