2. Surgical Duties
- Perform elective and emergency orthopedic procedures including:
- Total and partial hip replacement
- Total knee replacement and revision surgery
- Pelvic and ace-tabular fracture fixation
- Trauma surgery involving hip and knee joints
- Arthroscopic procedures when indicated
- Apply evidence-based surgical techniques and maintain high sterility standards.
- Manage intraoperative complications safely and effectively.
3. Preoperative and Postoperative Care
- Conduct preoperative assessment and surgical risk evaluation.
- Provide postoperative care pain management and rehabilitation planning.
- Monitor patient recovery and functional outcomes through follow up care.
4. Trauma and Emergency Services
- Participate in orthopedic trauma coverage and on call duties.
- Manage complex fractures dislocations and poly-trauma cases involving the pelvis and lower limbs.
5. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
- Work closely with radiology anesthesia physiotherapy and rehabilitation teams.
- Participate in clinical case discussions and treatment planning meetings.
6. Teaching and Training
- Supervise junior doctors residents and interns.
- Support clinical teaching activities and continuous medical education programs.
7. Quality Assurance and Patient Safety
- Maintain accurate medical records and operative reports.
- Follow hospital policies infection prevention measures and international clinical standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
