This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodically will FLOAT to ED Med/Surg or Peds in case of low census. Provides Nursing Care to critically ill patients. The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professional knowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions and treatment and the ability to work independently in completing assignments. Guidelines include doctors orders standards of care nursing policies and procedures manuals and hospital policies. Nursing duties include the provision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U. to individuals of all ages and their families. After-hours recovery of post op general surgery pediatric & OB patients as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe high-quality ICU nursing care to critically ill patients
- Manage ventilators titratable drips hemodynamic monitoring
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Document accurately and comply with facility policies and protocols
- Maintain patient safety infection prevention and regulatory compliance
Compensation:
- Weekly Pay (hourly) Non-taxed Stipend (if eligible)

Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- Must have at least 3 years of prior ICU experience
- Associate Degree in Nursing desired
- Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional Nursing License (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States of America the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico or a territory of the United States
- Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
- Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
- National Institutes of Health (NIH) NIHSS must be completed within 6 months of hire
- Strong communication professionalism and reliability

- Drug screen and background check (facility required)
- Additional facility onboarding forms as assigned
