The Role
We are seeking a Billing and Accounts Receivable Specialist to support accurate billing timely payment and positive communication with families and funding sources. This role is ideal for someone who likes detail oriented work enjoys solving problems and can balance professionalism with empathy when discussing billing questions.
What you will do
- Coordinate with funding sources to obtain client funding approvals before services begin
- Communicate with families about billing questions payment arrangements and subsidy options
- Create invoices bill through county software systems and submit invoices for payment
- Verify attendance for programs and compile data summaries to support billing
- Process post and reconcile payments received
- Make collection calls and manage accounts through the collections process when necessary
- Occasionally travel to a local satellite office as needed
What you bring (Required)
- High school diploma
- Billing and collections experience
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Excel Outlook and Microsoft Office
- High attention to detail strong organization and ability to work independently
- Valid drivers license auto insurance and reliable transportation
Preferred
- 2 years of college in a related field
- QuickBooks experience
- Experience working with county or government billing systems
