Purpose of Role: The Engineering Manager is responsible for setting the strategic direction of the Engineering function defining objectives policies and operational plans that guide all engineering activities. This role oversees teams dedicated to equipment products services and facilities ensuring seamless coordination and execution through direct leadership of area supervisors. The Engineering Manager will lead prioritize and monitor the full spectrum of engineering operations driving efficiency innovation and continuous improvement while ensuring full compliance with safety quality and environmental standards. This leader plays a key role in aligning engineering initiatives with business needs enabling highperformance execution and supporting longterm organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:


Technical & Commercial Support

  • Provide expert technical support to the Sales organization ensuring accurate timely responses to customer requirements and inquiries.
  • Deliver highquality technically compliant drawings and documentation aligned with customer specifications and engineering standards.

Technology Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify evaluate and recommend new technologies relevant to comminution and associated processes.
  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies to support new initiatives and business opportunities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and propose improvement actions to optimize engineering performance and efficiency.

Engineering Team Leadership

  • Lead coordinate and develop engineers and designers promoting capability building collaboration and professional growth.
  • Foster a highperformance culture ensuring clarity of roles accountability and continuous learning.

Project Execution & Delivery

  • Organize plan and control the execution of engineering projects ensuring compliance with scope quality timing and cost commitments.
  • Oversee quality assurance and quality control processes during product design and manufacturing ensuring alignment with global and local standards.

Strategic Alignment & CrossFunctional Collaboration

  • Represent the Engineering function in corporate and international forums ensuring alignment with global guidelines standards and best practices.
  • Translate business strategy into engineering priorities ensuring organizational objectives are reflected in project plans team focus and operational delivery.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Civil Industrial Metallurgical or Hydraulic Engineering or related fields.
  • Postgraduate studies (Masters degree or equivalent) highly desirable.
  • 10 years of professional experience including 5 years leading engineering teams ideally within the mining or mineral processing industry.
  • Solid understanding of relevant industry standards regulations and best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of mining process equipment industry standards regulations and best practices.
  • Advanced skills in engineering design blueprint reading project planning and execution.
  • High proficiency in engineering software including 3D design tools and finite element analysis (FEA).
  • Experience with LEAN continuous improvement and process optimization methodologies.
  • Proven ability to lead develop and inspire multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong decisionmaking criticalthinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and crossfunctional collaboration.
  • Customerfocused mindset with strong understanding of business and technical requirements.
  • Advanced English (spoken and written) comfortable operating in regional and global environments.
  • Strong commitment to safety quality and operational excellence aligned with corporate standards.
  • Medical fitness for work in mining environments.
