Senior Payroll & Benefits Specialist About BusekBusek is a Massachusetts-based aerospace company specializing in advanced electric propulsion systems and spacecraft components for government and commercial space missions. The company designs builds and tests propulsion hardware used on satellites and deep-space programs. Busek operates as a highly collaborative engineering-driven organization supporting cutting-edge space technology.As Busek continues to grow we are strengthening our internal infrastructure to support increasing headcount and program expansion.Primary ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary owner of payroll and benefits administration for the organization.Process and manage bi-weekly payroll accurately and in compliance with federal state and local regulations.Administer employee benefits programs including health dental vision 401(k) leave programs and other benefit offerings.Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws tax regulations and company policies.Maintain and audit payroll records deductions garnishments bonuses and PTO tracking.Partner with Finance on payroll reconciliation reporting and audit readiness.Manage open enrollment processes benefits communication and employee education.Serve as a trusted resource for employees regarding payroll and benefits questions.Coordinate with external vendors (payroll provider benefits brokers 401(k) administrator).Support HR reporting and data analytics related to compensation and benefits trends.Assist with continuous process improvement to build scalable compliant HR infrastructure.Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with the highest level of integrity.QualificationsBachelors degree in Human Resources Business Accounting or related field preferred.5 years of payroll and benefits administration experience.Strong understanding of multi-state payroll compliance and employment regulations.Experience working in a fast-paced technical or manufacturing environment preferred.High level of accuracy and attention to detail.Proficiency with payroll and HRIS systems.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.Ability to operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally.BenefitsHealth dental and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysRetirement savings plan (401k)Professional development opportunitiesCollaborative and innovative work environmentWhat We OfferOpportunity to support cutting-edge space propulsion technology programsHigh-visibility role supporting company growth and complianceCompetitive salary and comprehensive benefits packageStable and growing aerospace organizationITAR ComplianceTo comply with U.S. Government space technology export regulations including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) employment at Busek requires that applicants be one of the following:- A U.S. citizen
