Job Summary

Empire Coating Inc is looking for a reliable versatile individual to join our team in a hybrid capacity. The Delivery Driver / Maintenance role is split between driving (around 18-20 hours/week) and light industrial maintenance ensuring our products get to their destination and our facility stays in top shape.

Our capabilities include Chem Film Paint Powdercoat Industrial Printing Masking Solid Film Lube and Blasting. Position Overview

Driving & Logistics:

Safe Operation: Securely operate a 26 box truck for local and regional deliveries/pickups.
Loading/Unloading: Ensure all cargo is properly palletized strapped and secured. Assist with loading and unloading at docks using pallet jacks or forklifts.
Documentation: Maintain accurate logs BOLs (Bills of Lading) and delivery receipts.
Vehicle Care: Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report any mechanical issues immediately.

Facilities & Light Maintenance:

General Repairs: Perform basic handyman tasks around the manufacturing plant (e.g. minor plumbing changing light fixtures painting or drywall repair).
Preventative Maintenance: Assist the maintenance team with routine checks on HVAC filters compressors or non-technical machinery components.
Safety & Grounds: Keep walkways clear manage waste/recycling removal and ensure the shop floor remains free of hazards.
Organization: Maintain the inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.

Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Qualifications:

License: Valid driver license (CDL not required)

Testing: Pre-employment DOT physical

Experience:
- Previous experience as a Box Truck Driver
- Previous experience in warehouse or other related field strongly preferred
- Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods
- Good organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift heavy objects
- Current forklift license preferred ability to drive a forklift required

Shift:

Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:00pm

Total Compensation Package:

Wage
- This role is based in the State of New York which requires the disclosure of salary ranges. The expected salary range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour. Empire Coating Inc provides salary ranges as a good faith estimate of what the company reasonably expects to pay for the position at the time of posting. Compensation offered to a selected candidate may vary based on factors such as (but not limited to) a candidates job-related qualifications skills competencies experience and geographic location. The expected salary range for this position is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
