Pay Rate: $60/hr -$90/hr

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Mammography Technologist / Breast Ultrasound Technologist to join a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. The technologist will be responsible for producing high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography images performing breast ultrasound exams assisting radiologists with specialized procedures and ensuring compliance with MQSA and state regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities

Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams

Perform breast ultrasound examinations

Assist radiologist with stereotactic biopsies ultrasound-guided biopsies and needle localizations

Perform bone density (DEXA) exams as assigned

Obtain complete breast and family medical history prior to exams

Educate patients regarding procedures and reduce anxiety through compassionate communication
-
Ensure accurate and timely documentation in RadPlus PenRad PACS and EHR systems
-
Maintain cleanliness and quality control of imaging equipment and exam rooms
-
Maintain CEUs and compliance with MQSA and state regulations
-
Assist with QA/QC R2 and screen maintenance and view-box maintenance
-
Cross-train across modalities including ultrasound and biopsy procedures

Follow department timekeeping policies and obtain authorization for overtime
Requirements

Graduate of JRCERT or AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
-
ARRT (R) Radiology Certification
-
California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License Radiography & Mammography
-
Mammography Certification
-
ARRT and/or RDMS Breast Ultrasound Certification
-
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
-
Experience as a Mammography Technologist

Proficiency in mammography and DEXA equipment

Strong communication and patient interaction skills
-
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
