Job Title: Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Shift: Days (5x8s with rotating weekend days)
Hours: 8 Hours per Day (40 Hours per Week)
Pay Rate: $49.00/hr
Type: Contract (Clinical Allied Travel)
Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist responsible for performing nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures while ensuring radiation safety and regulatory compliance. The technologist will prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals operate nuclear imaging equipment monitor patients during procedures and maintain accurate documentation.
Responsibilities

Perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapeutic procedures

Prepare calibrate and administer radiopharmaceuticals
-
Calculate radioactive decay and patient study results
-
Operate nuclear medicine cameras and auxiliary equipment per protocol
-
Calibrate instruments and review data to detect equipment malfunction trends
-
Maintain compliance with radiation safety regulations
-
Start IV lines and follow proper injection procedures
-
Monitor patients physiologically during procedures
-
Document clinical history symptoms and procedure details accurately
-
Maintain inventory and records of radiopharmaceutical receiving dispensing and disposal
-
Submit nuclear charge tickets at close of business
-
Maintain working knowledge of medications used in nuclear medicine

Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
-
Graduate of an Accredited School of Nuclear Medicine Technology
-
ARRT or NMTCB or ASCP Certification (Required)
-
California State License (Required)
-
American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Certification
-
Ability to maintain radiation safety compliance
-
Proficiency in IV insertion and patient monitoring

Strong documentation and organizational skills
