Job Summary

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.

Position Details:

Qualifications:
LPN:

  • Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program; Consideration will be given for comparable education experience and successful licensure.

  • Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements.

  • Physical Requirements/Demands: Position requires the ability to push pull and/or lift 50 lbs. on a regular basis. Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift. Position requires the ability to grip reach bend kneel twist and squat to perform duties.

  • Experience: Experience preferred but not required.

  • Certifications: Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of unit specific certifications as required.

Paramedic Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED.

  • Licensure: Paramedic (EMT-P) license for the state of practice Valid driving license. ITLS or equivalent training preferred.

  • Experience: Background in Emergency Services preferred.

    Applicants must be at least 19 years of age.

  • Certifications/Registration: Hazmat awareness level training ACLS at hire PALS within 6 months of hire/transfer.
